The Guild Merchant is the head of the Cargo Department on the Eris. He is a direct member of the Aster’s Guild organization which controls most trade ports in the known universe. It is the Merchants responsibility to create profit for the company while supplying the ship with necessities as required by the crew. He has access to the Guild bank account, and is the only one with the knowledge of the account number and pin for purchasing cargo.

The Guild Merchant is the role you pick when you are interested in cargo roles, but more specifically in dealing with customers and customer service. If you like setting up a storefront, buying odds and ends from vagabonds, and haggling over and fulfilling orders for profit; this is the job for you.

Guide
As a Aster's Guild member, you are the backbone of the CEV Eris economy. Although you're characterised as a greedy miser, being the only reasonable way to obtain money means that you have the power to ruin the economy for everybody else. Demanding a huge cut of the profits from exports can make people unable to buy anything, and slow the flow of the game for everyone else. As long as you keep that in mind and don't demand a unreasonable cut of the profits, you may otherwise conduct business as you see fit.

Keep in mind other members of the ship. IH is there to help quell any riots by entitled customers. Miners double as personal muscle while they're not on their proper job. The Captain and First Officer are fellow Guild Members who may be interested in a profitable venture.

Office
In your office, you will have available to you: a shotgun, some bean bag shells, an export scanner, a supply console and regular console, and an EFTPOS scanner. There is also a Cargo Lockdown button which will shutter the windows and doors to the department with reinforced blast shutters in case of emergency. You will have a full view of the cargo lobby below you, to spot any trouble. Feel free to download the Command app on the console, or on your PDA which will let you call an evacuation and make ship wide announcements. You are a department head, after all.
Cargo Department Bank Account
In the Notes section of your IC tab, you will find your personal bank account number and pin; there you will also find the departments bank information. You are the only one that has this information. The only way to deposit and withdraw money(directly) from the department account IS IN YOUR HEAD! This is very important to note if you are leaving the round. If you are going to cryogenic sleep, please write down the information on a piece of paper or divulge it to the person you trust most in your department. They can get promoted to merchant after you are gone, and will require this information.
Exports and Imports
You can use the ATM in the cargo lobby to withdraw some capital to use for purchases; Use the supply console to use the money in the cargo account to order crates of goodies. Once you order and authorize something(type your signature when it asks for reason), you can load up crates full of cargo that you want to export for profit onto the bluespace teleporters on the bottom floor of the guild.

To use the Cargo Export scanner found in your locker, just click on the Cargo Supply console to link it. Then you can use the scanner on goods and materials to find out how much money you will receive for its export on the shuttle.
*Providing lesser services. Busted lights? Broken vendors? The guild can be there to help, for a small fee.
*In quieter times, head into maintenance areas and scavenge for useful goods to resell.
Loyalties

Your first loyalty is to yourself and survival. This ship is mostly just a paycheck to you.
Your second loyalty is to the merchant, he ensures you're well paid and respected, in a universe where workers are often treated as interchangeable parts." end

As a Guild Technician, you are an initiate of the Asters Guild. You are not yet a fully-fledged member however, and do not actually hold any authority. The Technicians work tirelessly at the mercy of the Guild Merchant in hopes of achieving a recommendation from a recognized member of the Guild; so that they themselves can reach for their wildest dreams of running cargo and making dollars hand-over-fist.
Duties
Your main duty is to assist the Guild Merchant in any way they need. This usually takes form in the way of:

*Tending to customers in the shop.
*Cleaning up materials and purchased goods.
*Sorting cargo into crates.
*Loading and unloading the shuttle for exports and imports.

The Cargo section aboard the Eris is a bustling hub of activity, so make sure you are ready for your responsibilities of dealing with many customers in a single shift. People will require goods to purchase, and to be purchased from them. It is up to you to be self-sufficient in case you are the only one tending the shop (In which case looking at the Guild Merchant page may be helpful); otherwise make sure you consult the merchant for big transactions or anything you might be unsure about.

Available to you is a Cargo Export Scanner found in your locker inside of the Cargo area. Use this item on the supply console to link it. Now you can use it on items and materials that people will bring you to estimate the value of the items when exported through the shuttle. This can help greatly in making sure you are treating customers fairly (or otherwise).

As a Guild Technician you also have full service maintenance access. If the shop is taken care of and you find yourself with nary a way to make a profit; feel free to explore the maintenance for valuables. You never know what kind of item can net you a bonus and favour from the Merchant.
Remember, the Captain and the First Officer are also members of the Asters Guild. It can go a long way in the Guild if more than one member can vouch for your competency and reliability. Making yourself useful to these people might be a smart thing to do depending on your situation.
Reading Material
Do you have ambitions on this cold, massive hulk of a ship? Then consider reading these pages to inform yourself of things you would need to know, in case of sudden changes in the departments management.
Their duty is to ensure that the church and the members of it remain pure, and to cleanse any corruption that springs up, subtly.

Guide:

As an Inquisitor, your tasks are threefold.

First, you must accomplish any tasks handed to you by New Rome. Those are your in-game objectives, viewable through the "Notes" command.

Second, you must guard the flock. Ensure the ship has a acting Preacher, and if a NT member ends up being a Contractor or a Godblooded Mutant, dispose of them.

Third, you must enforce the law of Deus Ex Machina. This is humanity's last chance, and you cannot allow destruction to spread throughout space, even if enforcing his will requires the deaths of a few.

To help accomplish your goals, you have an expanded list of Inquisitor litanies, as well as all the Preacher litanies and an upgraded Cruciform with 100 power in it. This means that not only can you perform the duties of the preacher, but you also have extra tools to help you carry out your holy work.

Reading the Preacher's page may be helpful to you, and it is heavily advised that you read up on church lore in general if you roll Inquisitor.
Tips
* Like the preacher, litanies can be used without the as they can be just spoken.
*Inquisitors are at their peak when interacting with NeoTheology members. You can draw a lot of power from followers, and should a different faction be causing consistent trouble, a open crusade is a reasonable option.
* You can choose to not get your hands dirty and instead covertly manipulate the church into doing your bidding through use of Scrying and Sending litanies. Note that though followers are not forced to follow your orders, you can enforce their obedience through use of the penance litany. This allows you to not reveal yourself, or to reveal yourself in a safe way. Preachers would be well advised to follow your orders, lest you take their power from them. They are your only real subordinates other than those below you ship-wise.
*Do keep in mind that litanies like Penance and Deprivation should be used sparingly, however, else you may get a talking to.
* Remember that you can perform all the duties of the Preacher, and more. You can even remove the current preacher from power and replace them, or upgrade all disciples into preachers to share out the workload.
*NT members are eager to hunt for Carrions, but less so to hunt other Mutants. You will need to encourage them, or hunt alone. It may be helpful to check the Genetic and Aberrant Organ pages to learn what mutations do and how to detect them, or take note of which machines you need to destroy in order to stop the flood of mutants once and for all.
* It is very useful to whisper your litanies, particularly ones that you shouldn't have access to, such as your preacher litanies and your inquisitor litanies.
* Don't be afraid to punish NT followers who step out of line or threaten to bring trouble to the church, this is literally your job.
*Don't be afraid to eschew one or multiple of your tasks for the sake of fun. Sometimes antag objectives rolled by the game aren't conductive to a fun round, and maybe there is bigger meat going around than random mutants wandering the halls.
Ironhammer Marshal
Marshals are enforcers hired by Ironhammer to deal with high ranking threats, which they themselves may not wish to personally handle.

You have likely been handed information about a existing target. Find and kill them, even if it means breaking into somewhere you shouldn't be, or interrogating crewmembers to force information out of them. Just keep in mind you're not here to exploit the ship like other Antagonists: You may be allowed to act more rashly than a normal IH Operative, but going too far by damaging the ship and killing innocent crewmembers may just lead to your higher ups replacing your paycheck with a live grenade.

After you're done, new problems may crop up. Be sure to deal with them as well.

Do note revealing yourself to non-IH is unwise. Crewmembers feel more relaxed not knowing that the person they're talking to is a Marshal, and may end up revealing something useful...

Uplink
See Uplink page

You will be granted an uplink you may use to acquire unique equipment, from weapons to stealth devices you wouldn't find anywhere else. Your badge is also available for 1 TC. Its your only way to identify yourself as a Ironhammer Marshal, so it's best that you buy it immediately if you don't want to be classed as a possible hostile contractor by the local Ironhammer forces.

Your uplink wont have contracts available, and instead you will slowly gain Telecrystals over the course of a round. Do not use this as a excuse to idle about.
Ironhammer Marshal
Marshals are enforcers hired by Ironhammer to deal with high ranking threats.

You have likely been handed information about a existing target. Find and kill them, even if it means breaking into somewhere you shouldn't be and interrogating crewmembers to force information out of them. Just keep in mind you're not here to exploit the ship like other Antagonists: You may be allowed to act more rashly than a normal IH Operative, but going too far by damaging the ship and killing innocent crewmembers may just lead to your higher ups replacing your paycheck with a live grenade. Regardless, after you're done, new problems may crop up. Be sure to deal with them as well.

Do note that Ironhammer Marshals are not covered by the Agreement, as Marshals were never officially hired by the Captain to be part of the ship's security forces. Revealing yourself to the local IH forces is optional, and revealing yourself to the Captain unwise.

Your uplink wont have contracts available and you will work with a fixed amount of telecrystals, so choose wisely.

Description:

A high ranking member of the clergy and Deus Ex Machina placed on board in order to monitor the flock of the Preacher and keep the faith sacred.

This is humanity's last chance, and you cannot allow mutation and bluespace entropy to spread throughout space. Even if enforcing his will requires the deaths of a few.

To help accomplish your goals, you have an expanded list of Inquisitor litanies, as well as all the Preacher litanies and an upgraded Cruciform with 100 power in it. This means that not only can you perform the duties of the preacher, but you also have extra tools to help you carry out your holy work.

Reading the Preacher's page may be helpful to you, and it is advised that you read up on church lore in general if you roll Inquisitor.
| Convalescence || A decent heal which soothes burns, bruises and restores oxygen, while dampening pain. || Dominus autem dirigat corda vestra in caritate Dei et patientia Christi
| Succour || Has the same effect as Convalescence on the faithful. Must touch the target disciple. || Venite ad me, omnes qui laboratis, et onerati estis et ego reficiam vo
|-
| Scrying || Allows you to see through the eyes of the faithful for 30 seconds. || Ecce ego ad te et ad caelum. Scio omnes absconditis tuis. Vos can abscondere, tu es coram me: nudus.
|-
| Sending || Send a message to one of the faithful. || Audit, me audit vocationem. Ego nuntius vobis.
| Initiation || Completes the upgrade of a Disciple's cruciform into that of a Preacher's. Requires a Preacher Ascension Kit (from your uplink) to have been used on a normal member's cruciform beforehand. || Habe fiduciam in Domino ex toto corde tuo et ne innitaris prudentiae tuae, in omnibus viis tuis cogita illum et ipse diriget gressus tuos
Tips
* Like the preacher, litanies can be used without the as they can be just spoken.
* You can choose to not get your hands dirty and instead covertly manipulate the church into doing your bidding through use of Scrying and Sending litanies. Note though, while followers are not forced to follow your orders, you can enforce their obedience through use of the penance litany. This allows you to not reveal yourself, or to reveal yourself in a safe way. Preachers would be well advised to follow your orders, lest you take their power from them. They are your only real subordinates other than those below you ship-wise.
* Remember that you can perform all the duties of the Preacher, and more. You can even remove the current preacher from power and replace them, or upgrade all disciples into preachers to share out the workload.
* Interacting with the church is advised. You can draw a lot of power from followers, and improve the church's efficiency vastly.
* Although you have the tools to do so, you should not go out all-guns blazing and burn the ship down. You are a guardian of the church, and the church should be your focus. Don't get your head lost in the power.
* It is very useful to whisper your litanies, particularly ones that you shouldn't have access to, such as your preacher litanies and your inquisitor litanies.
* Don't be afraid to punish NT followers who step out of line or threaten to bring trouble to the church, this is literally your job. Your focus is on the internal, not the external.
* Two uses of penance will put a follower into pain crit. You can copy-paste their name to rapidly do this, though it is advised that you don't abuse this too much. The same goes for any other litany, including Deprivation, which allows you to rip the cruciform out of any follower. Don't abuse this either, or you might get a talking to.
