As a scientist you will start in the dorms or inside the research lab. You can find your locker upstairs past the break room. Your main responsibilities are to advance the technological capabilities of the crew through one of the fields of study. Technological research is the most common one requiring the use of a destructive analyzer. You can do this research to obtain atomcells, new weapons, new components and bluespace technology.

As per the Agreement, medical care cannot be charged for. This does not extend to tech. You are not obliged to give away any Moebius secrets or classified research to anyone; but you are encouraged to make it available for purchase to increase corporate profits and fund further research.

On the very top level of the labs you will find the Archaelogical analysis room, the xenobiology lab and the xenobotany hydroponic garden. If you proceed past the toxin storage room and down the stairs, you will arrive at Genetics and the Vasiliy Dokuchaev Exploration Shuttle. You can use the shuttle to travel to any location that the Eris docks at.

Tips

  • Try and get your hands on a large amount of Uranium. Uranium is essential for atomcells; a Moebius bestselling product.
  • Implants and augmentations don’t fall under the agreements rules. The Moebius Expedition Overseer has the final say on all prices for augments and installations.
  • Trade with the vagabonds on board the ship, as they have access to the maintenance and can acquire rare research opportunities and resources. Who knows what kind of technological marvels were left behind in the scrap?
