Congratulations, you have been selected to betray your coworkers! You have rolled this role because you picked the Role Preference in your character selection. All Ironhammer Security and all Department Heads are barred from getting this role.
The Traitor is somebody hired by outside forces to sabotage the expedition in some way. With this role, you will also receive access to an Uplink(customizable in character creation) and a password will be placed into your IC verb “Notes”. To access a PDA uplink, just use the TaxQuickly app and sign in using your password. Note that while using the TaxQuickly App, your PDA will glow a bright red indicating to any knowing parties that you might be ordering contraband. Use your uplink in a discrete place, away from prying eyes.
You will also receive some codewords that you can memorize and use to identify other traitors added to the Notes verb, as there is no way to directly communicate between them.
Uplink
In the Uplink you will find that you have a certain amount of TeleCrystals(TCs) that you can use as currency to obtain valuable items and services. When you click on an item with enough TC in your uplink, it will instantly be teleported to you or in case of a service(such as a rad alarm)it will be activated upon purchase. If your hands are full it will appear on the ground. Some of the things you can get are:
- Firearms
- Grenades
- Medicine
- Ammunition
- Explosives
- Specialty stealth kill items
Use what you think is necessary to complete your objective.
Contracts
Once you’ve completed your initial assignment, you might also notice another tab named “Contracts” in your Uplink. This lets you take on outstanding bounties for more TCs, updated in a timely fashion every 15 minutes. You might wish to complete one or more of these assignments before the round is over. Just because your objective is done, doesn’t mean that you have to force an Evacuation. Life is good on the Eris for subtle traitors, and contracts are plentiful from meddling forces.
Following is a list of the Contracts that are available to Traitors currently:

| Assassinate. | To confirm completion, you have to chop the targets head off, and then you can put it into bluespace mailbox you can order from your uplink. However, if your victim has a cruciform, you will be asked to rip it off and send it instead. | Reward - 12 TC |
| Steal. | You use the bluespace mailbox to steal valuable object from the ship. Objects range from corgi meat to Captains Personal Antique Laser Gun. | Reward - 10 TC |
| Recon. | A central area(outside of maintenance) will be requested for you to recon. To accomplish this you need to place 3 spying sensors(found in uplink) into the room, activate each, and let them work in tandem for 10 minutes. | Reward - 12 TC |
| Derail. | Your mind fryer(ordered from uplink) must be the first to break the minds(push their sanity to 0 causing a breakdown) of 3-5 people to mental breakdown. When this number is reached, mind fryer will report your success and will get your reward. | Reward - 14 TC. |
| Dump it. | Extract a large sum of money from the Eris economy, and exchange it for TC by sending the money in the bluespace mailbox. You will need 15-20K for this objective. | Reward - 8 TC |
