The Mighty Trash Beacon
"One man's trash, is another man's treasure. Literally"
The Trash Beacon is specific to CEV "Eris" and simply activating it allows you to magnetically pull literal piles of trash near it. Just for you to shovel through to find oddities, materials, or even hardsuits.
Bare Basics
The beacon is located at the lowest deck aboard the CEV "Eris" and across the hall from the recycler. Generally if you find items you believe are worthless, you activate the convoyer system that sits around the beacon and leads to the recycler.
The recycler (Accessable by Aster's Guild) will do as it is called. It will recycle majority of items into usable materials that Aster's may either sell to Moebius or export aboard the supply shuttle for money.
Vagabonds have access to the beacon which they can use to either help Aster's out by recycling goods, or search for their gear they want. Because trash piles are random, you will not know what you get until you finish sifting through every last pile.
So get digging.
Tips
- Suggest Aster's pay vagabonds for sifting through the beacon and throwing things into the recycler convoyer, this way Aster's make money through materials and vagabond can make money doing something useful for once.
- Vagabonds can take items they find, and at times sell to Aster's or Moebius for a quick profit if you find something they're interested.
