Vagabond

Description:

The Vagabond(s) onboard the CEV Eris are bums and stowaways who hid onto the ship before it taking off and doing absolutely nothing but greytiding and being a nuisance.

Guide

You answer to everyone on the ship, as everyone on the ship outranks you. In theory, your job is to assist, but in practice you end up doing nothing because no one on the ship needs assistance (most of the time). This is where you make your own fun. Here are some things you can do as a vagabond -

  • Maintenance hunting - Maintenance is huge, and the amounts of things you can find in there are endless. You could find combat RIGs, medical supplies, military lockers, gun refuse piles, mechs, etcetera.. If you want to do this, do it quickly as a lot of other people will also realize this and scavenge maintenance as quickly as they can. You could ask the First Officer for some extra access to, by proxy, gain access to more maintenance shafts.

  • Assisting people - Vagabond is simply the Eris name for assistants, so you can get paid from doing odd jobs for each department Examples include, but are not limited to - (not in order)
  1. Being a deputy for Ironhammer, helping notify Ironhammer of crime.
  2. Being the chef's assistant, helping the chef gather more "exotic" ingredients and whatnot.
  3. Being the bartender's assistant, helping the bartender gather chemicals and the like for more "exotic" drinks.
  4. Being a courier/messenger/diplomat between the various factions.

  • Roleplay - This role, mechanically has VERY little to do if you do not want to do what has been listed above. Discordia is a MRP server, so this does not mean you have to put extreme effort into it, but it's generally appreciated if you act like a human being on the CEV Eris ingame.

Equipment

  • Assistant's uniformAssistantsuniform.PNG- Filled with hatred and envy.

  • Assistant jacketAs jacket.PNG- Practical and comfortable jacket. It seems have a little protection from physical harm.

Tips

  • As a traitor, you are usually the most overlooked person. You also have 0 extra access and authority to spare, so be wary of that.

  • Assistant is great for new players or players who want to try out a gimmick.

  • Because of Discordia's lax rules on self-antagging, you can go along with the plot of an antag if they bribe or threaten you accordingly.

  • Nobody typically takes to clearing out spiders or roaches, so you can get a quick ID name change to something akin to "Roach Killer", "Xeno Dominator", etc, and purge the CEV Eris of those insect scum.
