Cortical Borer
You find yourself on a ship rich in fleshy hosts perfect for you to reproduce, but do know that the hosts can fight back and kill you with ease, so it is best to get one when it is alone. When the host is in maintenance will be a good time to strike, you can take a single host down with your psychic lance which will give you enough time to infect the host before they have a chance to react. Once you have a host you can either stay silent and keep yourself hidden, or speak with the host from within its own mind; maybe you can form a symbiotic relationship that both will benefit from, but if the host is hostile and tries to remove you, you can attempt to take control and reproduce while you can. The overall best option is to stay hidden as to not get yourself killed, but if the host discovers you and tries to make a positive relationship then you have struck gold. Just know that you can appear on medical huds when in control of the host, so best not do that while in medical.
Abilities and Levels
You come with a wide range of abilities such as producing specialized chemicals you can give your host to heal them or poison them, but know that there is an evolution system in which you spend the chemicals you have gained from feasting upon the brain juices of the host, there are many more unique abilities other then the chemicals you can produce which will be listed in the table below.

Detection
There are two ways to detect a borer, either get to a scanner at medbay or use a medhud when it is in control of the host.
